Pur essendo un video, pubblico l’articolo nella sezione Main di Luxoro perchè mi ha veramente lasciato di stucco.
In pratica l’autore dello stesso ha creato un illusione audio incredibile. Se si ascolta una volta l’audio del seguente video e poi si riascolta una seconda volta, si ha l’impressione che lo stesso continui a salire di ottave.

Riporto un commendo in inglese trovato su metacafè che cerca di spiegare il perchè di tale illusione.
there are 3 octaves. we’ll call them low, mid, high. You can hear the low the entire time while it goes up the scale. the mid and the high are the ones creating illusion. First half of the scale, the high octave is more dominant (in volume or what we hear), but that slowly changes. As if I’m slowly tuning the volume of the high down while I turn up the mid. By the time it gets to the end, the mid has the relative volume and the pitch as the beginning of the high. Well, now that I think about it… there might be 4 octaves. the low might be doing the same thing with 2 different octaves, but I can’t tell.
E voi cosa ne pensate? Avete qualche altra spiegazione plausibile a tale effetto?
